 Renowned Announcer Mike Markham Named as the Voice of Europa MMA

World Class Ring Announcer Mike Markham has been named the voice of the Europa MMA Fighting Championship. Europa’s inaugural show is scheduled for March 22nd at the Brentwood Centre in Essex, England.

“There are some outstanding promotions in Europe and Europa will certainly take its rightful place among them. The formation of a new promotion that unites the European MMA scene is an exciting and revolutionary concept. Furthermore, the United Kingdom always provides one of the most compelling and appropriate backdrops for international sport,” said Markham.

Markham has announced events ranging from the World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship in Abu Dhabi to bouts involving the legendary Fedor Emelianenko in Russia. Markham has worked as a live announcer for over 40 entities - including more than 30 fight promoters. From London to Los Angeles, Markham has voiced international events featuring some of the finest athletes in combat sport.

The March 22nd Europa main event features two of Europe’s elite featherweights as Sweden’s undefeated Niklas Backstrom faces Germany’s once beaten Max Coga. With a combined record of 15-1, the result of the Backstrom-Coga bout will have significant ramifications throughout the featherweight division.
